2019 Till Now
2019 is flying by, though at the same time it feels as if the year has just begun. The wheels have been running non-stop since January and we are grateful that so many new and old customers have placed their trust in Westrup when choosing to partner with us.
Working with people who are willing to go the extra mile every day, is a great inspiration to everyone - especially myself.
Great Teamwork
Creating new solutions and testing seed or grain to find the exact combination of machines and settings that does the job, is what we are good at and enjoy doing. It is rarely the same solution that is needed, which makes the task at hand even more interesting.
It requires an impeccable synergy between departments, colleagues and business partners every time we offer a new machine or a new project. This means, the teamwork that takes place daily needs to be on-point. Strengthening the bond between colleagues in the Westrup family has therefore been a high priority this year - both professionally and personally, because we know that a smooth-running and stable operation shows positive results in the end.
And in fact, I would say that the cooperation between departments, colleagues and business partners is working almost flawlessly! Every day we discuss and evaluate the best way to go about things to ensure we deliver the high quality of equipment and service we are known for.
Seeing the Westrup team take initiative to review their own, the departments and the organisation’s work procedures has been a pleasure, and it has also proven to be effective. Our On-Time Delivery has never looked better, and tasks which have shown to add no real value to our customers or ourselves have been removed, and instead, focus is only on the actual value creating processes.
Reinforcing our Team
Outside of Westrup, we have also been spending more time together. We reorganised our employee association club to focus on creating events that reinforce us as a team, which has resulted in some lovely dinners, lectures and other social activities.
Earlier this year we also founded the Westrup Mountain Bike Team, which I am very pleased to be a part of. Mountain biking has always been a passion of mine and getting to share this with colleagues has led to some wonderful experiences. It also encourages some friendly competition, which has lead to some joyful moments, but more importantly; it gives us time to bond outside of the workplace in a (sometimes) less hectic environment.
We have also welcomed new colleagues. In Denmark, Germany, France and the USA, we have added new members to the team to better support you and our partners in reaching a stable and profitable business.
As a business, we understand the importance of stability in order to perform well. Stability gives room for development, creativity and effectiveness and it frees up time to think forward and plan for what comes next, which ensures that you are always one step ahead. This is a prerequisite for being able to bring new ideas and initiatives to life.
Teams Create Results
It is no secret that the agroindustry is changing rapidly these years - new high-tech equipment and technologies are being released almost weekly. Navigating the different types of innovative solutions to decide on the right fit for you, your product and your business is complex and requires a lot of resources on your part.
When creating new solutions, we have focused on what adds value to your operation and brings stability to your business. With the attention many processing plants also have on running a sustainable operation, we decided that creating a solution that allows plant owners to run an efficient, stable and productive operation with less waste was the way to go. This is how the Navigator 4.0 came about.
We are so appreciative that the Navigator 4.0, our automation system for air screen cleaners, has been very well received in the industry. We see the need for this exact type of equipment validated every time we talk to you.
Lastly, I would like to give a special thank you to the entire Westrup family – I am proud of the way that every employee is willing to give their all and work hard so we are able to provide all of you and our business partners with the level of service that we aspire to.
